Just a bit of feedback on the bigger injector, I have one with my setup and my tuner had to remove a lot of fuel across the entire rev range to get it within target AFRs (I'm running a Power Commander 5). My setup also has a K&N filter but the top of the airbox has been removed too, for extra...
I ended up with an open airbox, K&N filter, larger injector and full Tyga WSS system. Makes decent power now, definitely worth the work. The tuner said he had to take quite a bit of fuel out when doing the tuning.
I installed braided lines (full ABS delete too) about a week ago. I used a syringe and injected fluid via the nipple on the caliper first, then bled the system the traditional way. Took about 20-30 minutes to do both.
The YSS 456W is brilliant, it’s really transformed the bike. With the stock shock and stiff spring I was experiencing grip issues at the rear and also had the exhaust and belly pan scraping. Now all those issues are gone and the rear is solid. In fact, the front needs another upgrade to match...
Going very well, the bike has changed some more. I’ve installed the YSS rear shock, engine case protectors and removed the ABS system completely. Lap times are really improving too.
The shock has worked out great, base set up was done by my suspension guy. It was a bit harsh initially, but I only needed to make minor adjustments to the rebound and low speed compression damping. This is purely for the track, no idea how it would go on the road.
Just thought I'd share where I've gotten to so far. My bike is ready for it's first track outing, two days on track next week. Once I'm back next week it will go for decals to be done. After that, there's still a bunch of changes I want to make, adjustable rear shock, full system, ABS delete...
I don’t have the numbers, I had both bikes set up and didn’t write the numbers for either, go figure. I’ll get that info when I’m back at my suspension guy for the rear shock install.
By race glass I meant a full fibreglass fairing kit. I ended up sticking with the stock side fairings and bought a Tyga belly pan and tail unit.
I've been working on it slowly, so far I've done:
YSS adjustable spring kit (not full cartridges)
Dynojet PCV
Dynojet QS
Lithium battery
K&N air...
I'm also curious about this. I was thinking of opening my airbox lid but read somewhere that the injector needs upgrading if you do this. Anyone know what duty cycle the stock injector runs at with an aftermarket filter + pipe?
