Great deals, but I gotta pace myself. I just got the Ohlins on special. Hope I can still get in on this deal soon when I have more fun money. :)

Install question for anyone who has the knowledge. :) so I did a big build today on the race bike but fell short on one area, the andreani cartridges. We pulled the forks off, drained em, but grenaded into a wall with the instructions. First problem was the confusion of the end cap with the large o-ring attached. Does the base of the fork leg need to be removed to install this? Next initial issue was the spring compression tool for the stock fork cartridges. This we sorted out at the Yamaha shop, not ktm shop in town. Ok so we can disassemble the stock fork cartridges. But our problem is this : we checked 8 different motion pro and custom made tools for the compression spring tool needed to reinstall the andreani cartridges, none fit. I've been online for awhile now trying to find what size tool I need to either buy or make. I'm definitely struggling at life with this install. Any wisdom would be appreciated. I called my Ohlins guy who said he'd look at em in 3 weeks after a surgery. Unfortunately I have the patience of a two year old and want it done now. Please help

I'm not a suspension guy but I talked to my suspension guy on Friday and he did say that the base of the fork leg does need to be removed. He didn't have the right size tool and is trying to find one, he also said it will need to be heated.

Rocket,
You do need to remove the fork bottoms.

While it's a different bike.. check out this video to see how to go about removing Fork Bottoms.

Scroll forward to about 6:20

Actually I found them in the grom site. Will they work for the rc390?

I know the previous response is from december, but thought I would comment anyway. The tool for the grom is 31mm and the tube that needs holding on the RC390 is 43mm so the same tool wont work. I am finally getting around to installing the Andreani cartridge kit in my RC and have run into a few roadblocks. I had to make a 5mm pin tool to remove the old damping rod/cartridge assembly and currently am looking for a tool to hold the 43mm tube to remove the fork leg bottom. I may end up making one if I can figure out where to find something that will work.

I made my own tools to do both.

Suspension guy said to debur the tube where the set screw makes contact with the tube. Said he has seen tubes destroy the bottom piece from the bur left by the set screws. Used a tiny dremel bit to clean it out. Applied some heat and used my floor jack handle for some more leverage, came right out no problem.

Nice Work there. I wish I had the tools to make a tool. :) I see RaceTech has the TFTT 01 tool but it has a double pin design. I am going to call them to see what id the tool has.
