RC390 Wont start Dash lights up no blinking lights

The bike has been sitting for a week. I installed a fender eliminator and now it wont start. The dash lights up and says error but no blinking lights. The warning light, abs light, and engine light are all lit. I hear the fuel pump and all that when i put the switch in start but pressing the starter nothing happens. I checked the batter voltage, 12 volts, gonna check the fuses now. I briefly saw error code jy5.0.1 flash on the dash but cant seem to find anything on that. Also the fuel level low warning is on but that shouldn't prevent the bike from starting. Any suggestions or thoughts?

So I put gas in it the word error and low fuel level went away. Only the ABS light is lit but the bike still wont start. Press start and nothing happens.

Check starter switch as well as major battery connections and grounds.

Also, it is counter-productive to post the same question in two different threads.

I checked all the fuses and connections everything seems ok. I'm worried it's an ECU issue. I still don't have any indication lights (headlights, blinkers, etc) and when the kill switch is off i hear occasional clicking and humming from the electronics, but that doesn't seem to coincide with pressing the start button.

If i wired the connection for the license plate light backwards and grounded that circuit does the ECU have some lame safety system that would lock the bike? I've tried starting it with the license plate light unplugged and same issue. I'm stretching now but that could be the only thing i can think of as it's the only electronic change since it stopped working.

Have you actually tested the starter switch yet? If it is OK, then have you tested the starter relay?

The ECU does not care if the lights are unplugged.

I had a similar problem after I installed my fender eliminator . It was a loose wire in the connector that's for the optional alarm system. I check that wiring bundle under the pilon seat.
