  • Hey man,

Sorry for the super long delay I've been crazy busy. We had some fun fabricating an exhaust for the bike and I am running Map4. I will be using the wide band we have to get a better idea once I get a MIVV full exhasut over the weekend. How is the bike treating you?? I am in love with mine, but I think next year may bring an RC8...
By the way... any aditional advice with powertronic?. I have an GRP Nero Exhaust + K&N Filter ...
    Hey Man!

In mi case, I tried the MAP2 at once LOL  and the laptop was connected. As soon as I turn on the ignition system I hear a weird sound like sparkles, it was the coil getting burned, I noticed this later.

Did you connected the powertronic ground to the terminal battery or it's still connected to the bike frame??.

RD didn't want to help me at all. They just keep saying that it's my bikes issue and nothing to do from their side :(
    Hey Man,

My coil was also fried. I brought it into my local dealer and they took care of it under warranty for me (luckily).

The team at RD itself were very prompt in dealing with me to try and help, in fact after a couple of days of no response from me Binoy replied back to ask if I had solved my issue and sent me a new map to make sure I had no issues.
When I got the bike back I loaded the map on the unit, and plugged it in. I didn't connect the laptop to it to monitor in real time as I did on my first go. The bike is running fine now. Very strange to happen, the RD guys were very confident that I wouldn't have the issue again, but had no real answer as to why it happened. Were you running the base duke 390 map on the PT unit when it failed?
    Hi Hodder.

How did you solved the powertronic issue?. I have a similar situation, the only difference is that my bike is a Duke 390. I wired the ground to the frame and not to the battery terminal.

I found my ignition coil and spark plug burned. How did you work out this? I ordered a new OEM parts, but I'm afraid that if I plug the powertronic again, it will frie my spark/coil again.

Besides, RD Team support, sucks!!! They don't want to answer my emails. But when I ordered the powertronic, they didn't hesitate to contact me.
