Depends on your definition of 'correct' :-)
From factory, both nuts on same side. I think it's a nicer action with nuts on opposite sides (smaller one with a washer).
Oh really? My phone knows a lot of cheeky words :-)
I'll edit my reply to match.
The kit I bought from KTM was complete, with 2 longer caliper mounting bolts, 2 longer aluminium caliper spacers, everything needed. The disc works nicely with standard KTM road pads as well as the ones with...
I bought the Powerparts (Galfer) 320mm disc as a kit for my 2015 road bike :-)
The ABS ring sits beside the disc, so I simply transferred
it. The gap to the sensor is good and the ABS still works fine.
Nitro helmet, Powerwear Vector X2 gloves.
I always said I don't want to go colour-coordinated like a Power Ranger, but it turns out those are perfect summer gloves for me :-)
The helmet is nothing special, except that it fits my head. Nothing else fits like that, so I keep it. I have a no-name...
I'm also going to stick my neck out, based on general experience of alloy heads :-
I reckon a lot of head gasket problems start with a minor cooling problem, such as the known weak spot on 390s of the water pump seal leaking. The coolant level drops in the radiator and sometimes you won't know...
This might sound obvious, but how are you measuring oil height?
Down from the very top of the stanchion above the top yoke, I assume, but is that on a stand, with the suspension fully extended?
I was idly wondering about the ideal Leatherman or Swiss army knife.
Does anyone know of a way to have a custom-built tool with my choice of essentials? You know, knife, T30, T45, corkscrew, beer bottle opener :-)
Cheers for suggestions
Mine popped a fork seal. Someone here in the forums (I forget who--old age is like that) has suggested that the factory specify slightly too much oil in the forks, which builds too much air pressure when the forks compress.
The answer is to lower the oil level a bit and perhaps use fork oil one...
The idle speed sounds the same as mine (slightly slower than some 390s I have heard) and mine jerks randomly when I run it in gear to lub the chain. I'd call that normal on half the bikes I have owned. Transmission snatch just happens, although it's worth checking for looseness in the rear...
Obvious questions I guess, but:
1/ is the replacement battery holding good voltage as you turn on the ignition?
2/ Are the connections good and clean?
After that, consider removibg and cleaning contacts on all the fuses and relays (one by one, to be sure they go back in the right place).
Down in the south of England I remember the the old A3 (where the new road left it quiet), A272 between Haywards Heath and Petersfield in Hampshire and the A303 as well. That was decades ago. I fear they will be clogged with traffic by now.
Oh yes :-) I ride early or late to miss the traffic. And Sundays are sloooow, with lots of "Sunday drivers" and one or two summer riders who have recently come out of hibernation and not had enough coffee yet :-)
Some good UK routes there. I haven't done Kielder yet, but I will :-)
