cooling

Working on my 17' RC390 and there is rubber sheeting zip tied all over. Is this important? Does it keep wires off the hot engine? Is it cooling engineering? Have you all removed it with no effect? Any info appreciated!

I'm currently installing my Samco hose kit, 8 pieces which I know the four larger pipes attatch to engine/radiator and two thin pipes go from radiator to overflow/catch bottle. But what are the other two thin pipes for?

I wanted to put an R&G radiator guard on my 2017 RC 390; but the OEM radiator shroud needs to be removed to install it. What's the purpose of the radiator upper and lower shrouds? I was wondering if I can remove the shrouds to install the radiator guard and shed some weight.
