Hi all!
Just picked up a low mileage used 2015 RC 390 and am loving it! I'm in the SF Bay Area and this thing is perfect for the crazy traffic around here. It's super skinny so filtering is so easy. And after watching all the YouTube videos on the RC 390 that I could find, I was thinking the...
...as in riding off into the sunset, so to speak.
Haven't been that active on the board in the last more than a little while. Unfortunately that corresponded to the RC spending more time idle than it deserved. With that as a premise, the little beast is headed to a new home. I was apparently...
Just picked up a '15 about a month ago, I've been wanting one since I heard they were coming to the US. No dealers would sell me one in a crate when they finally arrived so I just moved on. Ended up stumbling across this one with 500 miles for only $3500 so I snatched it up. Haven't done a lot...
I own a 2014 Ktm RC390 and I’ve been riding it for about two years. For a long time I’ve hsd issues with the rear tyre trying to get out. I feel like it prevents me from getting the bike as low as I would like too. I wonder is it a weight imbalance on the bike? Maybe to do with tyres? I’ve...
Good Afternoon All,
Been a long time lurker and finally bit the bullet and am picking up a 2018 RC390 next week. Used to track and race an EX500 (Ninja 500 for you youngters), and like riding smaller bikes on the track since it requires brains and not just a strong right wrist.
From the ninja 400 forums, user C Dolan:
The vibration issue and the more upright riding position would have
me favor the Kaw, especially if I was riding more than 100 miles nonstop.
Both handle well, but the KTM rear rim is way too narrow for its
150 rear tire. Slid the ass end a lot...
Not sure if this belongs here but felt like sharing, I am in Australia going for my open license (unrestricted motorcycle). I ride my 2017 RC390 as often as I can and I got it after a long break from riding (years). Today I rode the bike I will be going for my unrestricted license on, a Kawasaki...
Hello everyone!!
Just bought a 17' RC390 last week. Been riding for a week, also. Lol. This bike is hilariously fun. And thankfully, very forgiving. The first time riding it, I left my driveway, into my neighbor's yard, and headed for his fence. I caught it, though. Lol. So far, I'm...
Hello! New RC owner here. I'll start off by saying that I've been riding for 18 years now (I'm 42 years old). I have owned too many motorcycles to count, my first being a 1995 Kawi ZX-7R. I now currently own a 2016 Bandit 1250s (For touring) and my new ridiculously fun RC390.
I cannot say...
I just got my 2015 ktm rc 390 last week. And I have the stock exhaust on it. But I am wanting something that is louder. But not too loud where it is annoying. I am mainly going to be riding on the street so mainly looking for sound over power, but of course power would be nice. Just trying to...
So I adjusted my valves and changed the oil, first service stuff (WHAT A GD HASSLE)
And now the speedometer just shows zero while riding.
Did I forget to plug something back in?? Hoping I don't have to take it all apart again.
Thanks!
Basically new, but has been fitted to a bike before.
Thinner at the front, and taller, for a better sport riding position.
Also better looking and has stitching.
$100.
More info on the seat here...
I’m from Malaysia and riding a 2016 RC390. I always dream of owning and riding a KTM Moto3 bike but unfortunately it is beyond my means. This is the closest I can get with my RC390
Looking for opinions. Shouldn't be hard to scare some up :D
If I spend three hours a week of hard riding on the track and this is all I do...
when should I?
change the fluids?
oil
forks
brakes
lube the chain
lube the major bearings
etc...thoughts?
New to the forum. Have had my RC390 for about a year and riding the same amount of time. New to the LA area, was hoping to make some riding friends and find a repair shop that I can trust. Excited to become part of the forum.

New member to the forum and new to to Ktm. Been riding for close to 20 years, and I'm really looking forward to owning the rc390.
I've owned tones of different style bikes over the years currently I own a 2001 Harley sportster 1200c that I've been wrenching on.
I haven't been on a sports...
Had the privilege of being part of the Yamaha Champions Riding School this week at Buttonwillow on my RC. I can say it definitely changed my life as a rider.
They teach two main aspects: 1) How the best riders in the world ride. 2) How a modern motorcycle is designed to be ridden.
As these...
**Side note I am probably like most of you guys and been riding for 30+ years with far too many bikes come and gone. But this is my smallest bike ever owned and I'm looking forward to it more so than many others that have passed through the shed :)
Took my little beast up my local hills to...
Not an RC owner (yet). Not a racer. Just an old fart with several decades of riding experience. Started riding in the late 70s, got hired as a riding instructor in the 80s, then hung up the helmet for a decade before getting back into it around the millenium.
Currently own two bikes, a...
