Hey everyone, joined recently. I bought a lightly crashed 2018 RC390 to work on this winter from Copart and fix up for the 2023 track season, and maybe a few rides on the street. Bike is on the higher end of miles, 8,600 but have heard the 2017+ motor had some improvement to hold up better. Viewing the dash and the miles indicated the previous owner commuted on this and averaged 44 mph. Seems to run well from my limited time playing around with it.

Planning to use this as the B bike when I'm tired and or to start the day on when the temps are cooler. Installing some take off Metzler sportecs, changing the oil, putting on a new slip on, right-side fairing, otherwise not much planned for maintenance/mods since i have more powerful bikes for that. Really excited to ride this thing around, love how it looks and the fact it fits in the back of a shortbed pickup with tailgate up in a huge win!

Can someone tell me if this bike has a stainless steel front brake line? Looks like its coated, otherwise adding that to the list.

Welcome, Xtremsiege2,

All Duke/RC bikes come with SS breaded brake lines from the factory.
Btw just over 13,500 km is not that much

Minor update after adding new tires front and back, replica Akrapovic slip on to replace the heavily damaged oem, bar end mirrors, wet sanding windscreen to clean it up, adjusted the chain(think the chain might be at the end of its life), new lightly scuffed right side fairing(hence the sticker) and brake reservoir and levers going on soon. What is a good budget brake fluid to use for this? I will look around...

And the latest, ebay rearsets thats actually fit really well. But what a PITA to install. Not overly difficult, just a lot of steps and wiggling with the frame held up from the ceiling.
