Outside chain wear

I noticed that the top of my chain has been staying shiny so I took it apart..... I found that the bottom chain guide is rubbing against it. The chain is at the right tension.. so what would cause this and is it something to worry about.. I have pics of the guide and the wear on it .

It is normal and by design. Read your owners manual. The guide is a wear part the will eventually need to be replaced. Nothing to worry about at all.

Sweet.. I looked in the owners manual and couldn’t find anything about it. Thanks for the help
