Yeah, I see this on the top of the oil cap on our cars when the weather is extremely cold. It does look just like mayonnaise. It's condensation + oil blended together. I agree that Maddog should be keeping an eye on coolant and other potential areas for concern.

Michelle, as Koot states, it's already prepared with the correct water, 50/50. You just pour it into the vehicle and you're done. No guessing about which water is the correct water.

We bought a set of these a few weeks ago. They do permit some customization with lever length. I've fitted them to my Honda as well. Some will like them, some will not see them as an upgrade:

Michelle, you can also source the coolant pre-mixed so you don't have to worry about whether you've got the "correct" water. I changed the coolant in our bike a month ago and purchased the correct spec coolant, premixed, on Amazon.

Yeah, the Owner's Manual doesn't do anything to help clarify....I guess the USA doesn't exist or is truly a tiny market for these street bikes.

The measurement systems are not the same. In the USA we quote AKI (anti knock index) or (RON+MON)/2...that's what's printed on the pumps. Their system is generally 4 - 5 points higher for the equivalent product elsewhere in the world. Our "92 octane" is equivalent to their "97 octane". One...

You need to have two liters of oil on hand when changing.

In the Owner's Manual for an RC390 sold in the USA, it clearly states oil level is verified following a HOT shut down. Bike is straight up, not resting on side stand.
