'Mayonnaise' in breather tubes. Gasket problem?

Yeah, I see this on the top of the oil cap on our cars when the weather is extremely cold. It does look just like mayonnaise. It's condensation + oil blended together. I agree that Maddog should be keeping an eye on coolant and other potential areas for concern.

    Distilled Water

Michelle, as Koot states, it's already prepared with the correct water, 50/50. You just pour it into the vehicle and you're done. No guessing about which water is the correct water.

Product review: Fully adjustable brake/clutch levers by Gregg Spears

We bought a set of these a few weeks ago. They do permit some customization with lever length. I've fitted them to my Honda as well. Some will like them, some will not see them as an upgrade:

    Distilled Water

Michelle, you can also source the coolant pre-mixed so you don't have to worry about whether you've got the "correct" water. I changed the coolant in our bike a month ago and purchased the correct spec coolant, premixed, on Amazon.

    Abs failure

Yeah, a warning like that is not normal and could be a concern. You should be checking in with your dealer, JC.

2015 RC 390 heat thats considered normal

All the body panels keep the engine/exhaust very hot. I've driven our bike a bit with the lower cowls removed and that circulates a significant amount of air. We're still fairly cool here. Have not driven the bike on a hot day and I have not seen any sort of warnings apart from hearing the...

    Good price on 2016

We paid $4999 OTD a couple weeks ago to a dealer in NYS for a new 2016 RC390. We paid taxes and registration fees to MA.

    My Dyno story

Yeah, the Owner's Manual doesn't do anything to help clarify....I guess the USA doesn't exist or is truly a tiny market for these street bikes.

Andy, thanks for the posting those plots. I've been curious to see where the power plateaus.

    My Dyno story

The measurement systems are not the same. In the USA we quote AKI (anti knock index) or (RON+MON)/2...that's what's printed on the pumps. Their system is generally 4 - 5 points higher for the equivalent product elsewhere in the world. Our "92 octane" is equivalent to their "97 octane". One...

    Question regarding measuring oil level

Omatza, I've done several oil changes on our 2016 because I've been a bit concerned about all the garbage I see when the oil is drained from the engine. I haven't used a full 2 liter amount when refilling. Again, I'm checking the oil level when the engine is hot and the bike is straight, not...

The Big Fuel Range Thread, or...

I'm stunned how short the range is on this bike. I'm seeing all the warnings with only about 110 miles of city driving :(

    Question regarding measuring oil level

You need to have two liters of oil on hand when changing.

    Question regarding measuring oil level

In the Owner's Manual for an RC390 sold in the USA, it clearly states oil level is verified following a HOT shut down. Bike is straight up, not resting on side stand.
