i found the easiest way is to hold the cover with your hands and put your index fingers feeling the front two holes (they have some rubber pads on the end) where it hooks on the front and then line it up from there and everything else just falls into place
i second that...mine is so minimal and it was super easy to make. this is the first version that i did but i ended up going with a thicker aluminum and it works great!

I just installed my frame sliders too from GSG/WHA. Took 6 weeks shipping and $20. The quality feels very nice and solid. Installation was pretty easy, just took off the side panels, then each bracket bolts on through two of the engine bolt mounts. i have some rubber flaps and more wiring on one...
i feel like a while ago i read that someone was explaining how you didn't need to remove all the body work to do an oil change but i can't seem to find the thread. is this the case? can you just remove the belly pan and not the side panels?
