Does anyone know if the base auto map for the EVO (RC390 Edition) is sufficient for a deleted EVAP and K&N/Lidless Airbox or should one of the "modified" base maps be used? Seems to run well, just kind of curious
I have the RB Evo in my 2016, and as both myself and others have said, its basically the best of all worlds. If the 2017+ version is anything like mine, for $400 I think it was, it was a no brainer. Literally set it and forget it and gives you the one feature that everyone else charges for...
Maybe its helpful, maybe its not but I had one in Husqvarna TXC310 dirtbike and was great for trail riding. Nice being able to lug it without going nuts with the clutch (the magora hydraulic clutch is particularly annoying for anything but solid track use). That being said, there was zero...
I second that. 2 people makes it much easier to remove. Basically the second person just needs to hold the tank up while you unclip the lines going to it, so no mechanical skill needed whatsoever.
So from what I have seen its pretty much install, run and go. The computer tool is simply for tuners or if you have full bolt ons there is a mod base map you can flash on there to get the parameters closer to what you would want out of the gate. As for install, the instructions are actually...
I actually had the same exact thing happen to me at 3 different dealers. I just ended up buying a RapidBike EVO rather than trying to find someone who would actually flash the bike. One dealer said I needed the AKRO pipe and the code, another said they wouldn't because its illegal and for off...
Here is the link to the actual product: Rapidbike Evo | DIMSPORT - ENGINE CALIBRATION SPECIALISTS
I got mine from a site called MotovationUSA. Shipping was fast, etc.
Heres the link for that...
So this weekend I installed the Rapidbike EVO Exclusive kit for the 2015 RC390 and I have to say it makes a huge difference right off the bat. I can answer any technical questions for anyone if they have them, but the install is fairly straightforward and explained pretty well in the...
Im kind of in the same boat here. Im trying to get the Akra map put on my bike, but I cant get any straight info from 2 different dealers. One said they will only put it on if I buy the pipe, the other said its actually illegal and they won't do it at all. Seems like I cant win here. Any info...
Im bringing this thread back because I stopped at my local dealer today and they said that they cannot flash the Akro map without an "unlock code" which apparently comes with the exhaust when you buy it new. I was under the impression these were just factory KTM calibrations and were simply...
Im mainly looking at it cuz it keeps the stock location. Personally I dont really care about any extra power or anything like that, just seems to be the only choice as far as the location is concerned.
Yeah definitely got yourself a real good deal on that one. Just FYI Im currently in the process of getting it packaged up. Trying to get it as nice as I can so its in perfect shape when you get it. Also FYI: the plate mount requires your blinkers and tail light as well as these 4 little metal...
I plan to leave the lid 100% in tact (the previous owner actually drilled holes in it so I ordered a brand new one and installed it when I put the K&N in). I just would like to know if removing ONLY the snorkel component would cause any serious problems because it is a bit annoying to service...
My other question is would removing the snorkel but leaving the airbox itself alone with the same filter cause it to lean out? I only ask because the bike will likely never see rain, and with the snorkel removed it makes accessing the filter element itself much easier.
