RC390 Wont start Dash lights up no blinking lights

I had a similar problem after I installed my fender eliminator . It was a loose wire in the connector that's for the optional alarm system. I check that wiring bundle under the pilon seat.

Who is happy with their RC390 and had no issues apart from normal wear and tear?

Mine is a 2016 with 12000 miles on it. No major issues, other than a cracked air box and starting issue. The starting issue was due to a connector on the left upper side frame that came lose over time I guess. Getting ready to take it for the valve check only.

    Looking into an RC

I'm at 8000 miles as well. Other than a wiring issue that might have been induced by me and a cracked air filter box #90206001044 that was covered by my warranty no other issues. I'm also running the after market rad cap and engine ice as coolant.

    Air box lid.

Hey fellas, I just installed a K&N filter and noticed that the air box lid isn't flush with the base. I have the rear tabs inserted correctly, I'm guessing the lid should be flush?

New Engine Cover Guards In Stock Now

Will this fit the NA/US 2016 RC 390 model? Looks exactly like the 2015 model except for the mirrors and possible rear sets?

    Not a good start...

Update on my stalling/display issue. Service tech found a bad wire connection under the passenger seat. Basically the bad connection was a jumper for the alarm system option. Thankfully he found the problem:)

    Not a good start...

The bolt had to have fallen into the fuel pump assembly at the factory since the bike hasn't been serviced yet..total of 66 miles on it. This week marks my first month of ownership and the bike has been in the shop over a 2 weeks now, it's embarrassing. People keep asking me how's the new bike...

    Not a good start...

Just an update on my new RC. Mechanic found a random bolt hanging from the fuel pump magnet. He was a bit shocked because the bolt is not common to KTM bikes. I also explained to the mechanic I believe the bike has other issues besides fuel pump problems. IE led display dying when the bike...

    Not a good start...

Hey Dip, I unfortunately didn't check for engine over heating. It was a cool Californian morning and I'm approx 12 miles from work so I wasn't concerned about overheating. So this can happen that quickly? Does it kill the dash as well bike in a overheat situation? I did try to restart about 1...

    Not a good start...

Thanks for the replies fellas! I looked down at the kill switch as I coasted to stop thinking I might have hit it by mistake. (It was ok). Flipped it on/off it a few times as well in a attempt to restart the bike without success. Waited a hour and retried multiple times...no good. Spoke to...

Returning to the saddle after a decade

I'm in the same boat my friend. I haven't ridden a motorcycle since my Katana 600 days..1993. Just picked up my Rc 390 2 weeks ago and I'm having a real hard time dealing with rider nerves..especially around traffic. I was thinking of taking the MSF class just to get back into the swing of...

    Not a good start...

Well I purchased a 2016 Rc 390 US version a couple weeks ago. The fuel level sensor was bad right out of the dealer..not a big deal. (Dealer ordered part). I've taken the bike the out for short rides since it's been 25 years since I've ridden a motorcycle and I'm trying to shake the riders...
