thanks! No the tint isn't coming off, yet. I only clean the visor under the tap with soap and my hands, never a cloth. The gold is only on the outside, the tint is just grey when you look through it, like a 2-way mirror.
Sorry totally missed your reply, did you pick up your bike yet? There's already another buddy of mine with a '16 RC that i ride with, but the more the merrier!!!
i know this is a necro-bump, but after much digging for custom decals and coming up empty handed, I took the plunge and templated the whole bike myself. I then created my own artwork for the shapes I wanted and had a shop print it out. Super happy with the results, there were a couple spots that...
Oh that's very interesting and good to know. What kind of Ford truck ie model and year is it since that seems to be the way locksmiths try to figure out if they can cut it. Did they just free hand copy or use some setting on their machine, do you know?
jeez, just spent a half hour unsuccessfully trying to get the rear kickstand bolt back in. trying to hold the bike one handed off the stand and working blind on the other side sure doesn't help. guess I'll need a second pair of hands or a pit stand to fix this.
It appears to be both. This kind of key requires a milling machine style key cutting device rather than a grinding style. The one place said the machine was over $20K hence the high cost of cutting a key, he still couldn't cut it though because KTM wasn't a brand that was listed in the software...
Thanks for the info. Now i know what to ask for.
I found a locksmith about an hour and half's drive away that said he "thinks" he can do it for $45, but only on a weekday. Aaargh!!!
Unfortunately they cannot. they need the keycard to be able to order a pre-cut key. I didn't get that with my bike. The full lockset x3 with 2 keys/keycard is only $85. Might have to go that route once they're not back-ordered.
This is so ridiculous
Hey guys,
I recently picked up my RC used (back in October) and it only came with one key and no key-card. When I spoke to the dealer that originally sold the bike they told me all they could do was order me a blank spare (as opposed to one already cut for my bike). The blnak was cheap, $15...
the technical section is incorrectly labelled, titles are missing the N in technical:

yes, that works too, I didn't suggest it as not many folks have access to a welder. It can make a mess of the powder coat when the weld splatters so maybe cover stuff up before you go hot
wow! surprised no one commented on how great that looks! great work.
I'm toying with the idea of dipping or wrapping mine to bringing some hi-viz yellow into the colour scheme.
