I just went ahead and replaced it that did the trick the bike doesn't have that many miles so I'm suprised that it went bad so fastIt means the OEM chain is crap
It was probably never lubricated after leaving the show room, being exposed to elements such as water, dust, dirt it will wear the chain out and grind down the sprockets sooner/easier. When lubricated every thousand or so miles, the metal on metal contact wear is alleviated and moves much more freely...my chain was like your when i got my bike, very stiff and did not move much and almost clicked. So i spent 20 minutes cleaning it and rinsing off the build up, sprayed it with a general oiler and then a true chain grease and its worked great since.I just went ahead and replaced it that did the trick the bike doesn't have that many miles so I'm suprised that it went bad so fast
