@robenever Glad to hear you are okay. Yes, the rear set is surprisingly awesome. The only thing that took damage and survived in my RC's crash.

Juts check if the gear levers end is getting jammed against the side stand.

I guess KTM's primary market for these class is Asia. So I doubt they will continue with the same segment since this is a emerging market. Also, the QC issues dont have anything to do with BAJAJ, its all KTM and they engineering. Bajaj has the same engine (detuned a tad bit) on their models...

Dint some of the KTM top guy say they will discontinue the engine from 2017? The 2016 version was supposed to have facial upgrades albeit useful ones but they dont seem to have made it to the markets. I doubt they will invest more into this. Most likely a new 490CC engine esp for a ADV platform...

The RC is purely a buy it-race it/trash it bike..and it costs only about that much.

There are Duke 390's that have done around 50K with average maintenance.

FYI, Here in India mostly all the KTM Service Centers are replacing the gaskets under warranty whenever they spot a leak. I had my head leaking Oil at 1.5K KMS on the ODO and they replaced the gasket at 4k KM.

I suck at wheelies but I can get RC to pop a small wheelie in the first gear...at 5k RPM, close the throttle completely and whack it open immediataly
