That's....interesting. Considering I've seen it mentioned in a few different places that they are reverse threaded at the bottom.
I ran into the same issue, stuck getting those bottoms off. They are at a shop now. Hoping to hear back in a day or so.
Do the caps need to be removed at all, or just the tube from bottom mounts? Seems like removing the caps is just an extra step if the tube has to come off anyway...
I talked to a suspension guy about this today and he said it's a major PITA. The instructions provided with the cartridges don't give enough detail on what needs to be done. Fairly generic.

Post two. I mean, he's not wrong. If you're a heavier person pushing your bike on the track or on the street with the stock shock it'll probably be an unpleasant and scary experience.
