If I'm shelling out coin for a new wheelset, I am not doing it for something that looks exactly the same. I am racing next year, but not this bike, I have bought the following: Carbon Fiber: Tank / Battery Cover; Front Fender; Counter Shaft Sprocket Cover; Chain Guard / Hugger; and Rear Tail...
After already installing Tank/Battery Cover, Front Fender, Chain Guide/Hugger, my next purchases (Tail Section Street / Sprocket Cover) are on the way. When I bought this bike, {and bought all of the other Carbon Fiber bits) I was working for RK Excel as North American Sales Manager. RK makes...
We aren't required to run guards. As for chain lube... If you apply it correctly the "fling" is minimal. Use a quality lube or wax, and oil after the first round of practice, while the chain is hot. Fling is minimal. Guard has no real protective value if the chain comes off. Only limits lube...
I worked as RK chain sales manager for 2 years... (Just recently left) For a street application I would have ZERO interest in this. Regards to racing? I have raced for 10 years, and the life span and maintenance most likely required for this doesn't seem to fit "Risk vs. Reward". Not saying it...
My dealer told me on my last oil change that since I did not let them change the air filter, I would have to come back on Monday and get approval my the service manager to have them reset, with a plug in device to reset. (I picked the bike up on a Saturday and the "Manager" was not there.) I...
Really dude? Of all the other issues with this bike, the cotter pins are the thing that got you to snap. I have a CRF450 that I have over 12,000 in that has cotter pins. That bike takes way bigger hits than the 390 will ever see! There is NO stress load on the pins in the assembled product...
Feel free to send me a message of what you would take? I have Tyga Carbon Fiber Tank/Battery Cover, Carbon Fiber Front Fender, and Carbon Fiber Chain Guard / Hugger. So I have what I Need in spares there. Most interested in both side panels for each side.
Thanks,
Robbi
Agreed... However, If race control is doing their job communicating to corner workers, and the person in the flag stand this is rarely an issue. Of course every circumstance is different, I have raced with WERA,CCS and AHRMA and never had any huge issues. All of that being said, someone should...
That is a piss poor excuse by your racing organization as per the Blue Flag... Racing 101 is this. The flags are the ONLY Communication between the riders and the racing officials. A Blue Flag does not mean pull over, or slow down, only to hold your line and let leaders pass. You then resume...
