I was idly wondering about the ideal Leatherman or Swiss army knife.
Does anyone know of a way to have a custom-built tool with my choice of essentials? You know, knife, T30, T45, corkscrew, beer bottle opener :-)
Cheers for suggestions
Anyone fancy sharing routes?
Because we come from all over the world, I'd suggest we include a county and country. There are Penriths in at least 3 countries, for example :-)
Mine are all in UK: A6 Shap Road and A685 Appleby Road north of Kendal, Cumbria. Also a lot of the roads around...
It blew a seal ("No, it's just frost on my moustache!" ) at about 3,000 miles. Both sides replaced by dealer, but they wouldn't cover it under warranty!
Now one side is just starting to go again (one side has a ring of light dust on the stanchion, the other side has dark dust, which I...
Any advice, please? I pulled off the breather pipe from the top of the crankcase and it was lined with white gunk. I shook it out and refitted it.
The oil was changed about 2,000 miles ago and it looks OK in the sight glass. The bike usually does 25 miles each journey, mostly on empty roads...
I have two issues. Will PC5 with WBC2 handle them both, please? I am technical by nature, but I have *no* experience of Dynojet products and it's a lot of money to spend on an experiment. Any experiences, please?
This is a road bike, my daily ride to work :-)
1) Excessively rich and stalling...
I'd appreciate your comments, please. My 2015 RC is a road bike, standard intake/exhaust so far. In general I would like an A/F gauge to keep an eye out for changes and to avoid risk of lean detonation/excess fuel washing oil off the bore, especially after fitting a custom airbox I am working...
I can see what happened. Rose joints weren't lub'd from new. In the same way that footpegs weren't lub'd, gearbox output shaft splines weren't lub'd, things I did as I got to know the bike.
On a year-round road bike, is it worth changing just the rose joints for better ones, do you think...
When I use Shell V-power (99 RON) the bike feels noticeably smoother and faster. Ordinary 95 RON is OK acfording to my dealer, but the difference is obvious. I mean in a quick blast between bends, it reached 101 on the speedo, where it reached 95 the day before (that's off-road, judge, honestly...
Straight away, I'll say ACF-50 or Copaslip on all the little fasteners on fairing etc. After 4 months over winter from new, mine were rusted and difficult to remove. And change the oil halfway between services.
I've been reading here about tyres and stuff, so I thought I'd join up.
I usually ride bigger bikes, but when I test rode the RC I was hooked. I still am.
So far it's blown one fork seal, eaten a rear tyre in 3,000 miles and a chain in 4,000. Could be worse :-)
