I know at least 3 of our 5 have not had raised RPM limits, not sure about the other two. They have all blown up at different rates though, some last longer than others.

2. Yes, I get pretty bad fade with ABS delete lines, motul rbf fluid, pads, and 300mm PP floating rotor, which is all that's allowed in our series. I imagine a 320mm rotor and a master cylinder would help quite a bit.

+1, SC1/SC2 is the ticket. I tried an a13 rear since our Pirelli vendor sold out of 140's one weekend and it sucked balls. It doesn't have the absolute grip that the Pirelli does and it releases much more abruptly, and without the warning that the Pirelli gives. I'm on pace with Jason Madama...
You can't use TuneECU on any of the newer KTM's, but I have a power commander V and while I haven't done it, I don't see why you couldn't get a map made for MR12 and have a switch on the bars for it.
I think our longest was 42 minutes and I don't recall getting all that close to empty so I bet you could get an hour out of it depending on your fuel map. We are at elevation though so less air>less power>less fuel.
