[email protected] I can send you pictures - everything I do...
No but make sure that the clutch release spring is on correctly - I ran into the same issue. https://www.motosport.com/oem-parts/husqvarna/2018/401-vitpilen/clutch-cover?fam=engine
Ive installed the newer motor and just spliced in the coil pick up. Maybe ill do a little investigative work using a multimeter. Do you know the voltage that goes through these wires?
I think they are a must to properly set the height of the bolts, I personally would take this to a machine shop to do as I dont have the tools necessary.
Sorry you are going through all this...100 miles then no longer stays on? Any error codes? Have you tried isolating the PCV from the picture? Such a bummer. I just replaced our 2015 RC390 with a 2019 Husky 401 motor and it started right up, hopefully it holds up.
@Superpacman13 everything came back together and now I have a running RC390 with a Husky 401 motor lol. All looks functional, the motor just wont idle with the kickstand down in neutral but I can live with that, maybe get a sidestand eliminator / dongle. Thank you so much for your kind help...
Super super helpful! Thanks for your help on the DM earlier as well. So looking at the this diagram, it looks like it is combined into a single connector, my hope is that I could just cut and splice the old connector for the pick up and leave off the gear position connector for all this to work...
Hello, I picked up a newer 2018 motor to replace my 2015 motor (that is blown). I see that the old motor had a single cable that had both gear position and crank position (ignition pulse generator) on the same wiring loom, but on the 2018+ bikes it seems (I think) to just be the gear position -...
Thanks! Same to you, I think you are a little further along so cant wait to hear about it. I will def keep everyone posted about mine as well. Was hoping not to see any coolant come out from the oil pan but at this point dont want to risk trying to fix the top end issue only to end up with a...
Sorry man, hoping the fire ring resolves things for you. Im buying a new motor myself at this point and will follow suit with the Fire Ring and head bolts.
On your recent post you were talking about rebuilding with the fire ring barrel. Did you blow it again after it was rebuilt "at his expense" (3rd time?) So you are on rebuild #4 or is he still working on rebuild #3? Thanks.
Well I finally got around to removing the fairings and draining the oil on the bike and it started to piss green chocolate. Guess its more than just top end at this point, gonna source a newer motor and for preventative measure, install a fire ring cylinder with newer Spears studs from all the...
This is great info - wow so, so far its been good for you? At first I was really bummed about the potential of having to fix it and do it all over again in a short period of time due to all the posts I read but all these recommendations is making me see some light at the end of the tunnel. I...
Thank you
Wow thanks - with all my research the past week (got it a week ago and started consuming and taking down all the notes I could) I havent read about this fire ring. Will reach out to them. Thanks for this!!!!
