Got mine about a month ago and loving every ride. Last bike was a liter bike. I don't regret downsizing at all. So fun to run it thru the gears and she is so nimble! Looking out for known issues but anything that happens will be worth the big grin I have each time I ride.:)
Well got the bike last month, been too busy to post some pics. Here she is on day one:
Made a few mods already:
Swapped the front pads for EBC HH (Needed that swap quick!)
Adjusted the shift linkage (After 300 miles the bike wouldn't shift into 1st. Turned out the linkage was hitting the foot...
Thanks for the details everyone! Will add the Spal, the better fluid and cap to my mod list.
Would the duke swap be essentially the same steps with the addition of some faring removal needed: Spal Fan Instal How To - KTM Duke 390 Forum
Thanks again!
Ok guys/gals, from what you have seen is the fan failure still an issue with the 2016 model and does this seem to be an issue only for peeps that track the bike? New 390 owner in about a week. Will be doing moderate commuting, joy riding but no track days. Should I be concerned or just wait for...
I agree, we should have a tier license system for bike like other countries. Nothing stopped me from getting a 600 with only a written test that gave me a permit. 3 months later I totaled it and lucky I was able to walk away. Lack of skills was my mistake and lack of regulation for new riders...
Moved up to WA from CA where I commuted and split all the time. About to get back to riding up here. The fact that I cannot split lanes and use the cages around me at stop lights freaks me out. I will probably piss of some folks, but I am sure I will split at some point.
At the moment I ride with a Sumoy but like Fasteddy, need to give props to an old helmet. It saved my face and more. Was a cheapo Vega or something, never going cheap on a helmet again, but it did its job!!!
Hi All! New owner to be here from the North West US. Had the test ride, loved it! Came from a liter bike but wanted something that actually lets me use the gears on the street/canyons. The RC is a blast.
First mod is a brake upgrade as they are too spongy for my taste and thanks to you...
