390R on the way?

Been reading the latest edition of Performance Bikes, Jeremy McWilliams (ex Moto GP) is now a test and development rider for KTM and writes an article in PB magazine. He refers to ongoing development of a RC390R which has been tested in Italian races and should get a wildcard entry in the final WSS300 round. This is to see if it will be competitive for the entry into the 2018 series!

Also can’t wait for the appearance of a 790 track bike which he alluded to ....

I'd be down for an RC790. Been hoping for a 690 for a long whille.

Kawasaki is also coming out with a 2-cylinder 380 this winter. KTM needs to keep up

The Kawi should have build quality and reliability going for it, but if it's just a pumped-up Ninjette, it's not going to get my blood flowing. Of course, having the RC break down can be a cardiovascular event, I suppose.
