Ahhh. Memories and visions of early F250 owners trying their level best to obliterate their drivers side rear wheel lugs and wheel stud threads.
I was also taught that ANY time I make a LH thread in the machine shop to make sure that I ALWAYS stamp a L onto the end of the stud or rod (if at all possible, some of the smaller threads get pretty tricky if you don't have any stamps small enough!), and turn a cut / notch out in the center of the hex end of a bolt or a nuts perimeter to notate it's left hand threaded.
It's saved my ass a few times when I reach for the wrench and notice the cutout and go "Right. Lefty Tighty. Now, which one is Left again?" {makes L with both hands to see which ones left}
