Well I was about to pick up a cbr300 yesterday as I am getting back into riding after a 27yr absence and when I walked into my local shop there was the rc390 and I of course changed my mind on the cbr haha.

Welcome Bkruk It is funny how this bike has sparked a few of us not so teenager dudes anymore - Maybe allot of us have experienced the fun of riding with bikes like - RD 350 - GrsxR 400 - FZR 400 - ZXR 400 plus the likes of the ol RGV 250 something about the KTM 390 that ticks the boxes its sort of like owning an old 1981 XR 500 in a road bike set up - enjoy the new bike

You are right. At 67, this is the most I have had in forty years. Reminds me of my first bike. An H D 250 Sprint H. Fun to play with! Not easy on the butt, but sure is fun.

I had about a 24 year absence myself.
...I always wanted, but never got, one of the various little Ducati single street bikes of the 1960's-1974 and these KTMs are the closest thing anybody is making now and when I saw the first press release I knew I had to have one. I had the dealer remove the weird black plastic extension below the licence plate area including the round red reflectors. I kept them. I'm probably going to remove the ones on the bottom of the front suspension too. I'm on Vancouver Island in the south near Shawinigan Lake. Hop you two get along great.
