Modified Original tail section

Hi
I was looking through the Internet for a tail tidy to remove the original long ugly tail section
these manufacturers fit and after looking at the costs and what you get and how they look I decided
id make a better looking unit from the original.

ive knocked up a little blog showing how I did this.
what do you think????

Nicely done! I did a very similar hacksaw mod to my original tailpiece, though I left mine just a bit longer. It's now about as far out as the end of the seat/light. I actually used a smaller diameter aluminum pipe as a dowel to connect the two pieces of the original tube. It might not be as sturdy as yours, but it didn't require any welding.
