New Norcal Rider

Sup Guys,

Just picked up a 2016 RC390. Been riding for 20 years, but the last sports bike I had was a Yamaha ZX7R. Decided to get back on smaller bike, but dang it's tall lol. I'm only 5'5 and I have to tippy toe. I've only done a little research so far, but I'm thinking of getting lowering links from Amazon. I'm also going to drop the front by lowering the forks through the triple clamp. I'd love to hear thoughts and opinions of this method if you've tried it. I know it will change the way bike handles, but since it's a new bike to me I really won't be able to tell the difference.

Cheers!
Gene

Welcome to the forum! I actually have a project ZX7R right now. Lol. You'll love the bike. But, the 2016 and earlier bikes are known to drag hard parts on the belly pan when leaning a lot. That may end up happening more if you lower the bike. Just a heads up.
