Rear Hub Rubber Dampers

As long as I've got the rear wheel off (new rear tire), thought I'd check the rear hub rubber dampers.

How many miles do these usually last?

My set lasted 1500 k's les than 1000 miles ,

Im sure they were a bad set as ive never replaced a set in 30 years but they had gone and the rear sprocket carrier was loose , wobbled and threw my chain cranked over a left hander !! Eeeeek ..

Was a build date of sep 2014 so please check yours .

There have actually been multiple failures on the 390, and we have upgraded cush drives on our site now for this reason (by customer request).

That's a pretty significant piece to fail. In over forty years of riding countless bikes I have checked many cush drives with upwards or thirty thousand miles on them and never seen a failure.I think I would be back at the dealer with blood in my eyes if the crappy parts caused the bike to throw the chain!

I think the rubber is pretty poor quality rubber all over the bike to be frank...cush-drive should last the life of the bike.
