    Front Rotor Runout

Getting tired of the terrible front brake lever feel and in consistent bite point I decided to check the runout on the front rotor. I thought it might be runout related because I could pump the lever up to a nice hard brake but as soon as the wheel rotated the lever would be mush again. Got...

    Front Brake Pad Knockback

Is it just me or does the stock solid front rotor cause some pad knock back? At the last track day I went to it felt like the front brake lever never started braking at the same place each corner. Sometimes the lever would be right there and the front brake would bite immediately and other...

    ABS Functions?

Does the ABS on the RC prevent stoppies or nose wheelies? Seems to me like it does. Doing some back road testing and finding that no matter how hard grab a handful of front brake I can not get the rear tire off the ground. I then turned off the ABS and the first time I go for the front brake I...

    Stompgrip Traction Pads

Just wanted to let everyone know that the Stompgrip kit for the RC8R is the same as the kit for the RC390. Same part numbers. A lot of online retailers don't list the RC390 but they do list the RC8R. 55-10-0058 for the clear version. Just installed mine, fits nice and looks great.

    Lube your pivots!

I discovered that KTM India does not know what grease is. All of the control pivots are shipped dry. Levers, shifter, rear brake, rear brake pedal to master cylinder. In the 1000 miles of riding with dry pivots galling had already started. After lubrication the front brake feels a million...

    Chain Cover/Rear Hugger

Anyone take their chain cover off to clean their chain yet? Holy cow that made that a maddening process. 4 different tools, and a bolt that is too long to clear the rear sets. And two pieces? really? Does the Duke 390 share swingarms? Because I really like the simpler chain cover on that bike...

    Oil Level?

So I did my oil change and cleaned the screens and replaced the oil filter. I poured in 1.6L of oil and that took it right to the full mark on the sight glass. All is good right? No, service manual says to warm up the engine to operating temp, shut off the engine and wait 1 minute and then...

    Cluster Brightness?

Does anyone else notice that the brightness of the gauge cluster seems to change? I swear it does and I always catch it in my peripheral vision and it is a bit distracting. I can't seem to narrow down what causes it. I do notice that if I key on and let the gauge do its initialization it is...
