"Ne tire pas la langue" means "don't stick your tong out".
This is what i've been told by my mum' many years ago.
Now, I want to say the same to my RC... due to the position lights, and the hole in front of the headlamp
I tried to solve it in an easy way called 90508908044, meaning "KTM Racing Bubble Windscreen RC390"
The issue is that in the catalog, it is always presented like that :
View attachment 3191
But who would want to have "Philip OTTL" written on this bike?
And honestly we do not give a s***t to the German organization "Adac"
The good news I wanted to share with you is this in fact :
- this windscreen comes fully transparent, with no color and nothing written on
- you have to remove the position light
- It can be mounted even if you keep the headlamps
As bonus, there is a plastic part in order to cover the mirror location included.
The reference is 90508908020. cheaper that aftermarket products.
So no need to buy additionally things like that for track day.
This is the change I did. Simple job.
No specific additional parts to be made. No wiring harness disconnection (just unplug the position light connector)
Just remove the side panels
Then remove the original windscreen
then remove the position light (connector is located behind a plate between low and high beam
and mount the full face windshield
The light remains efficient, even if we surely loose some performance.
After riding few days like that I see no damage of the windshield due to the lap heat.
the only alternative I've found (and that would be great) would be the Tiga fairing, with just 2 small holes for basing low/high beam lamps...
