Key on and getting this code:

JY_1.3.1 ERROR

the dash display comes up and it then says 'SERVICE NOT SET' and the clock at '01:00' and the starter won't even crank over.

Thinking battery issues, anyone had the same?

I don't know the meaning of the error code, but the reset of the clock at least suggests battery to me too.

Just had a look on line and the 1.3.1 bit is the firmware so might be irrelevant.

Damn, first bit of sunshine although it may have been an sign as it's now pouring with rain!

I'd suggest removing the battery and cleaning its terminals (and the cables where they attach) and then charge it with a proper controlled charger suitable for your type of battery.

But to be frank, if it's lead-acid and gone very flat, it may not be able to take a good charge. Only one waybto find out, though

Check you fuses, the ones on the right of the battery. Or if it does turn over then check your spark plug as well.

Got myself a charger and gave the battery a boost, now started as has the rain!

You could check bike for a slow drain on the battery (even 5 mA can discharge the battery a lot in 4 weeks.

Or you could just disconnect the earth wire when you store it.
