Struggling to install akrapovic mid pipe

I can't get the mid pipe to go all the way in and mate with the exhaust pipe coming out of the front. Also... what's up with the mid pipe tab mounting to the frame? Anybody struggling with these things?

For reference

So. I was able to get this much in

I also put the tab of the mid pipe closest to the motor. Instead of the outside of the tab of the frame.

And I end up with this much clearance of the swing arm after I bent the exhaust hanger a bit and added an extra washer.

Looking good?

yeah, that's exactly how mine looks like. I wasn't happy about the lack of clearance either.

That mid-pipe fitting looks normal..... I fought like hell to get it all the way in. After one heat cycle, it looked just as yours does

Exactly the same problem here !!! I pushed hard, and also try to bend the tab.... and the silencer clearance is like yours.

So I was able to figure out how to get the midpipe flush with the header. I mounted the midpipe to the frame backwards, and flipped the nutplate around. Now everything seems to fit, and it doesn't seem like I'm having the clearance issues like in the pictures above. To reach the bolt on the frame, I just got 1/4'' drive extensions and daisy chained them until I was able to reach from the left side.
