Yoyo slipper install

Ran into an issue... I had ordered a stock clutch pack. But that doesn’t work with the yoyo? Specifically the steels don’t want to fit into the slipper basket. They will fit into the stock clutch basket. Tested different steels from the same set. The grooves of the basket aren’t lining up with the of the steels.

I had ordered parts 90232111010. Do I need a different part?

Ok, I think I know what my problem here is. I think the yo-yo is designed around the 2015 clutch which is different than the 2016 clutch and takes in 2015 clutch pack which is part 90232011010. Just need someone to confirm this.

Chad is definitely going to be your best resource but since the part numbers are different, I think youre on to something there.

Looking closer at the fiche - the steels are the ones that have a different part number. I’ll be sending some pics to Chad later tonight. He said it’s the first he’s heard of this.

Confirmed, to install the yoyodyne slipper you need the accompanying clutch kit PN: 90232011010 for the 2015
