We have been in the works with Yoyodyne to produce an aftermarket slipper clutch for the RC390 and 390 Duke. Yoyodyne's slipper clutches will retain the factory fibers and steels. Extreme High quality. These should be ready in about a month and we have the first 10 exclusive to us. We would love to provide you guys with a group buy and get them to you for a special price. Retail will be $850 but if you are one of the first 10 the price is $760 and our will come with a KTM OEM clutch cover gasket like always.

This slipper kit will compliment the motor kit that will be finalized very soon!

it allows you to drop several gears all at once, without the rear wheel locking up. It's only really useful on track. Currently, the 390 doesn't come with a slipper

Just a Dumb Question, How different is this from the factory ones that come in Duke 390? Asking this as the price difference is huge... here atleast in India, the conversion from a regular with slipper for a RC with KTM parts is about 120 USD where as the above one stated is around 760 USD

The duke one is a straight ramp set up (lots of friction, and not smooth). Not adjustable in terms of slip, not forgiving at all and has very little slipping action. The yoyodyne slipper has ball ramps (much smoother, especially upon re-engagement), WAY more forgiving in terms of back limiting torque, and is adjustable for amount of slip. It's a proper "slipper" clutch, much more refined, higher quality, and designed for racing use, unlike the duke one.

You just replace your clutch assembly with this assembly reusing the clutch plates and it will work. If you want to adjust the amount of slippage then you can. But it will work straight out-of-the-box.

Cool thought i was reading the above post the it would need to be adjusted before use.

No it does not need to be "adjusted" prior to use, it will work fine out of box, BUT if you desire to make it "slip" more or less, it is adjustable by a spring cup change.
