Clutch play adjustments and lurching starts

I installed the KTM folding clutch lever today and noticed something weird. I had the bike up on the rear track stand and when I started it up with the clutch lever fully depressed the rear wheel would spin. I would tap the rear brake and after that the wheel wouldn't start spinning until I let the clutch out about 0.5 inches. Even with the stock lever I had felt the bike lurch a little bit during startup.

Is this an adjustment issue?

Its normal. Just check your freeplay at the lever is enough.
