It would definitely help in stop and go/heavy traffic where air flow is low through the radiator. I would also ad Ice coolant and the higher pressure radiator cap.

So you are planning on installing this sensor and associated circuit to control the fan separate from the sensor that currently feeds a signal to the ECU that then controls the fan?

Really I have no idea how the setup is, I was thinking that this sensor is just a 'plug&play' item.

No, it is a bit more then that...

The ECU directly controls the fan relay, The temp sender in the back of the head sends a voltage proprotional to temp to the ECU, the ECU uses this to do more then control the fan.

For get changing the sensor and just swap the fan IMO....

I just ordered this thermostat switch upgrade, In description it says "starts the cooling fan at 88C/190.4F instead of the stock 105C/221F", Has anyone try this in the rc 390?

I just ordered the spal fan and samco hoses too, want to make it run less hotter cause all day in traffic.

any suggestion or opinions on this product?

We discussed this on the Duke 390 forum. This sensor won't fit the 390s. Totally different piece. You want to cancel that order. http://www.ktmduke390forum.com/foru...scussion/30401-thermostat-switch-upgrade.html
