New from Illinois

Last weekend at the Chicago IMS I stumbled upon the RC 390. I had previously read about it, but never really gave it much thought. I got to sit on both the cup bike and the regular street going variant. Needless to say, I'm impressed. The build quality isn't quite what I would want it to be, but hey, it's a budget bike after all.

Anyways, I'v been riding street bikes for about five years now. My first bike was a blue 2009 Ninja 250r, it was an absolute blast to ride. The thing is, I always had issues with getting it to start. The carburetors were so finicky. That combined with it's lack of highway cruising ability and I traded it in after about two years of ownership.

Which brings me to my current bike, a 2009 Yamaha FZ6. It's a great bike, super comfortable, sporty, and great for all day rides.

Yet, I find myself wanting something light and flickable for short rides around town. So... I think I'm going to pick up an RC 390 as a second bike.
