No crank, no start

Hello all,

i just recently started putting my bike back together after it was stolen and am having some issues with starting now. To give some background, the bike was stolen a while back, some parts were swapped off of it, the entire bike was spray painted and than it was ditched and recovered. Once I got it back, I tore it down to the frame to get rid of the spray paint and to try to clean it up. Before tear down though, the bike still ran, but didn’t drive as they had swapped in a shifter off a different bike. Fast forward to now, the bike is predominantly put back together but won’t start now. I’m new to the motorcycle world of mechanics and am not too sure where to start. I’ve checked all the visible wiring as that seems the most obvious solution but nothing seems out of place. The bike now won’t crank and just clicks once when hitting the starter, after which the screen restarts and the fuel pump primes again. Any suggestions?
