Just an observation: the plastic oil filter at the location where the oil is drained from has magnets to catch the finer shavings. Thoughtful deign. I have used similar in my lotus (magnetic drain plug) and it used to catch a fair bit of finer debris.

As has been mentioned in several threads, the MNNTHBX cover doesn't seal properly on the DNA filters as their mounting flange isn't as tall. The filter slops around in the airbox even with the lid fully tightened down. It actually will allow some vertical movent as well, so its not a good seal...

Would any one of you fine gentlemen have a PCV or powertronic for sale? I'm soon to buy the tyga exhaust and k&n filter and wanna get to revving lol. If anybody has one, please lmk.

I bought a second K&N filter and when swapping them out I noticed quite a bit of oil inside the airbox? I've seen this before but not a puddle of oil, so my guess is that it was over coated with oil from the factory.

I did the first part of the break in today and changed the oil at 100miles... Those screens and the magnet sure do their job well, as well as the filter. The oil looked pretty fresh; nice caramel color still.

Just checked the "special" RC filter against my other KTM filters. It is dimensionally the same as 77038005044 which is the current 450/500 filter. I cannot guarantee the right flow rates etc but they are dimensionally the same so I would assume they would work. Use at your own caution.
